Q. How can I find your shop?
A. Go to the "Our Shop in Cornwall" tab at the top of any screen and you will find directions to the shop. If you get lost or need more information you can always give us a call.
Q. Has the shop been around for a while?
A. You could say that! Glanvilles & Sons strated in 1919, moved to the existing site in 1936, and is still owned and run by the same family.
Q. Are you connected to the "Glanvilles" in St Columb?
A. No, the fact we have a similar name is just a coincidence.
Q. Are aluminium pans safe to use?
A. There has been a health scare about raw aluminium being used in cooking equipment. All of the aluminium pans we stock are hard anodised. This is a process which renders the pans safe for food use whilst retaining their excellent heat distribution properties. In addition, most aluminium pans these days are non-stick lined.
Q. Will more expensive bulbs last longer than cheap ones?
A. As long as the expensive bulb is one of the major brands, eg. Osram, Phillips, or Crompton, then generally, yes. Cheaper bulbs, may not last as long. Usually the life of any bulb is shown on the box.
Q. Do you offer support for lighting products purchased through Glanvilles online?
A. Yes - should you have any difficulty whatsoever with your lighting product, call us on 01208 812860, and ask for Guy, Sally-Anne, or Jenny from our Lighting Department, or e-mail us at lighting@glanvillesofwadebridge.co.uk |
